Երկարատև հիվшնդпւթյпւնից հետո մшհшցել է վաստակաշատ գիտնական, պատմական գիտությունների դոկտոր, Սիրիայի աշխարհագրական ընկերության թղթակից шնդшմ, Հալեպի համալսարանի ԳԱ պատվո անդամ Վարդան Ռուբենի Գրիգորյանը: Այս մասին հայտնեցին Մեսրոպ Մաշտոցի անվան մատենադարանի տնօրինությունից:
1947-1952 թթ. ուսանել է Երևանի պետական համալսարանի Պատմության ֆակուլտետում, 1953-1956 թթ.՝ ՀՍՍՀ ԳԱ Պատմության ինստիտուտի ասպիրանտուրայում:
1956-1958 թվականներին աշխատել է Պատմության ինստիտուտում, իսկ 1959 թվականից՝ Մատենադարանում, որտեղ 1962-1968 թվականներին զբաղեցրել է գիտքարտուղարի, 1979-1997 թթ.՝ ձեռագրերի գիտական պահպանման բաժնի վարիչի, 1997-2009 թթ.՝ գիտական գծով փոխտնօրենի պաշտոնները։
Գիտահետազոտական բեղմնավոր գործունեությունը Մատենադարանում մեծանուն գիտնականը շարունակել է մինչև 2014 թ.: 1959 թ. պաշտպանել է թեկնածուական
ատենախոսություն «Երևանի խանությունը 18-րդ դարի վերջում (1780-1800 թթ.)» թեմայով, իսկ երկար տարիների գիտական պրպտումների արգասիք դոկտորական
ատենախոսությունը՝ «Պոդոլյիեի հայ գաղթավայրերի պատմությունը»՝ 1977 թ.:
After a long struggle, Vardan Rubeni Grigoryan, Honored Scientist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Correspondent of the Syrian Geographical Society, Honorary Member of the Academy of Sciences of Aleppo University, studied. This was reported by the management of the Matenadaran after Mesrop Mashtots.
1947-1952 From 1953 to 1956 he studied at the Faculty of History of Yerevan State University, in 1953-1956 at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR.
From 1956 to 1958 he worked at the Institute of History, and from 1959 at the Matenadaran, where from 1962 to 1968 he held the positions of Scientific Secretary, from 1979 to 1997 he was the Head of the Department of Scientific Preservation of Manuscripts, from 1997 to 2009 he was the Deputy Director for Science.
The great scientist continued his fruitful research activity in Matenadaran until 2014. 1959 defended his candidacy
dissertation on “Happy shop at the end of the 18th century (1780-1800)”, and the result of many years of scientific research
